Pipe Flanging
In order to connect pipes using flanges, the flanges first need to be attached to the ends of the pipes. Then, the two flange surfaces are placed on top of each other and tightened together with bolts and nuts. A crucial point in connecting pipes with flanges is the sealing between the surfaces, for which a sealing gasket is used to prevent leaks. This connection method is simple and commonly used. Since there are different types of flanges with different characteristics, the connection method also varies. Flanges are widely used in water and wastewater systems, as well as in various pipeline systems for fluid transfer.
